A farmboy, a princess and a swashbuckling renegade band together to lead a motley group of rebels and robots against the evil galactic empire in this space fantasy. Seems simple enough these days, but forty years ago this was game-changing. After the rebels have been brutally overpowered by the Empire on their newly established base, Luke Skywalker takes advanced Jedi training with Master Yoda, while his friends are pursued by Darth Vader as part of his plan to capture Luke.
After rescuing Han Solo from the palace of Jabba the Hutt, the rebels attempt to destroy the second Death Star, while Luke struggles to make Vader return from the dark side of the Force. It's up to Rey, a desert scavenger, and Finn, a defecting stormtrooper, to join forces with Han Solo and Chewbacca in a desperate search for the one hope of restoring peace to the galaxy. Die-hard fans will be thrilled to know there are still another two films in the works, with the ninth film in the series being released in December
